Hello my gorgeous ladies. Day 4 of the 31 days challenge and I am still with you. Today’s color is green and you know me and my relationship with green. Not fond of that color much, but hey, challenge is a challenge. I couldn’t come up with a design for this theme for a while, but then I started thinking about nature and flowers… and another floral nail art was born. Let’s take a look at it.

I started off with a beautiful light green, which is China Glaze Be More Pacific. I actually quite like this shade. It’s not too strong and it’s not one of those “ugly greens” that I absolutely hate. Then with a darker green color I made the leaves in the background. It is Nicka K Jade and lately it’s my favorite green to make leaves. The base of the flower petals is made with bright pink China Glaze Bottoms Up and the details with Peonies & Park Ave also by China Glaze. For the yellow details in the middle I used Nicka K Lust.

I made my floral nail art using my new brushes from the Born Pretty Store. The set comes with 15 different brushes and they have a gorgeous green handle and white bristles. I really like the verity of sizes and shapes, because it gives you possibilities for different types of nail art. There are a few stripers, some flat brushes, which will be good for one stroke and clean-up, fan brush, tiny dotting tool and some small detailed brushes. The flowers and details of my green mani are done with some of the brushes and they did a pretty good job. Unfortunately, the bristles are not very flexible and they have a plastic feel to them, which is not so good for a smooth application. I prefer softer brushes with flexible bristles. These would be a great start for a beginner, who just started with the nail art.

One more look at my cute, green floral nail art. Like I said, not very fond of green polishes, but I am really happy how these flowers came out. They look very pretty over that bright green base. Pink and green never disappoint!

What do you think of my green nails? I hope you are loving them as much as I do. I wish you a wonderful evening and I will see you tomorrow! Going to brainstorm a good design for the Blue theme for tomorrow!

Take care, Paulina Xx
