Hi my beautiful. It’s Friday and that means we are having another edition of the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge. Today the theme was New Year nails, which is a pretty broad topic, but in my opinion it always involves a little bit of sparkle and festive look to it. I made a simple striping tape nail design and kept the colors somehow neutral with a little bit of shine. Let’s take a look.
I chose a neutral beige base to start off this design. I applied two coats of Wycon no. 228 and waited for it to dry completely. Then with my good old striping tape, I made the black stripes using LVX Livid. The beautiful rose gold nail polish is Cirque Colors Halcyon. I added some stripes on my pinky and middle finger and triangles on my ring finger and index finger.
I absolutely love the color combination of this design. The rose gold Halcyon looks beautiful with a neutral base and some black additions. It’s also very reflective, it almost looks like I have a tip wear on my nails, while it’s a reflection from the bottle I am holding in my hand. I am quite happy how these New Year nails turned out. The design is not so obvious, but very festive, classy and bold at the same time.
Let me know what you think of this geometric design and I would love to see what your New Year nails are going to look like. If you have a blog post with a New Year design, please leave a link in the comments below. I hope to still post something before the end of this year, so I am not going to write the New Year’s wishes just yet. In the meantime, I hope you are having fun holidays!
See you soon!
Also, please don’t forget to check out other New Year nails made by the talented ladies in the group.
