Hi everyone. I am here to share my new video tutorial with you! I made a very sparkly Christmas holly nail art design and I kinda love it! For this nail art I used the newly released Indigo Holo Effect glitters. Let’s watch the video first and then I’ll tell you more about the glitters and other products I used for this Christmas holly nail art.
There are 8 colors in total of the new Indigo Holo Effect glitters and honestly, they are all gorgeous. In the video I am applying the glitter over a sticky layer of gel polish. In my opinion, this is the easiest method to apply this glitter. However, you can also buff it into products without the dispersion layer, such as Indigo Dry Top Super Shine or Arte Brillante gels. The second method can be slightly tricky, so I advice checking the curing times of the products you use and using a silicone tool to buff the product in. The end effect is very similar (maybe slightly more holo with the second method).
As for the Christmas holly nail art, the base for my nail art is Mr. White with Glass Me Rainbow powder. I wanted my base to be contrasting, but still kinda interesting. Then with a thin nail art brush and Arte Brillante Green Tea I painted the holly branches. Before curing the gel in the lamp, I sprinkled it with the green glitter and THEN cured it in the lamp. Then with a thick brush I removed the excess glitter. It’s a really cool technique and you can use so many different powders to create some awesome designs!
If you are interested in purchasing the Indigo products, please visit their website. The Indigo Holo Effect glitters are pretty affordable and currently retail for 2.80 EUR each.
