Hi everyone! And Happy Friday. Today I want to show you my Christmas lights nail art. I know Christmas lights are not the most original and everyone makes them this time of year, but they are so cute, that I couldn’t help myself. It actually just occurred to me that today I really should be doing Santas on my nails, because December 6th is Santa Claus Day in Poland. Too bad, but I am pretty sure that you will see some cute Santa nail art on my blog this month as well.

Christmas Lights Nail Art

I started this Christmas lights nail art with a cream base. I wanted to have a neutral color, but not too contrasting. This is W7 Linen. Then I put one layer of China Glaze Fairy Dust to make this design sparkly and shimmery. Then I took my dark green acrylic paint and I painted the lights’ cord. For the lights I used a whole bunch of different colors: China Glaze Sun of a Peach (orange), China Glaze That’s Shore Bright (purple), China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle (light Blue), OPI Strawberry Margarita (pink), OPI Blue It Out o Proportion and the yellow color is from my acrylic paint palette.

At the end I added some white glitter on the tips of my nails. It was supposed to look like a snow, but obviously I failed there, because you can barely see it plus I have a big build up on my nails. Shhhh!

[edit] I forgot to add that I am participating in Christmas/Winter Nail Art Challenge and this design was supposed to be submitted yesterday, but I didn’t manage to make it, so posting a day later. Here is a small overview of the challenge and the dates. Today’s theme was White Christmas :)
