Cirque Colors Kawaii Collection + Brand Makeover

Hello my beautiful friends. Today I am coming back with my review of the brand new Cirque Colors Kawaii collection. Besides launching the new collection, Cirque Colors has also undergone a makeover.

Cirque Colors Kawaii Collection + Brand Makeover

Cirque Colors changed the brand logo and the design of the carton boxes. The bottle itself is exactly the same, containing the same amount of product. All nail colors are now unscented and this is the only difference in the formula, as the previous one was scented with lavender and clary sage. You can read more about the rebranding on the Cirque Colors blog.

Cirque Colors Kawaii collection consists of 10 nail polishes and six of them are limited edition (LE). All nail colors retail for $14 each now, while nail care products are at $12 each. I used base coat and top coat from Cirque Colors to swatch these polishes and they are wonderful!

The formula is just as wonderful as before. The polishes are pigmented and I didn’t have a problem with any of them. I applied two coats with most of them.

Vaporwave is a cornflower blue holographic nail polish with a flash of pink. This is a star of this collection in my opinion. Absolutely love this color. Two coats plus top.

Lolly Lips (LE) is a bright raspberry pink with sparkling holographic flakies. As I am a big flakie lover this nail polish is perfect in my book! The formula was great and easy to apply. Two coats plus top.

QT Kitty (LE) is a deep violet with sparkling holographic flakies. Another gorgeous shade. I really love the depth of this color. Two coats plus top.

Star Child (LE) is a shimmery teal made with opal and holographic glitters. It can be layered over another color or worn on its own. I love the opal glitters, but this is my least favorite color from the collection. Maybe because it tends to be a little bit more chunky on the nail. I applied three coats plus top.

Killer Kitsch is a hot pink holographic nail polish with a subtle violet shimmer. I love this color and I love how matching the name is. Two coats plus top.

Memedom (LE) is a turquoise blue holographic nail polish with a flash of gold. This is another star of this collection in my opinion and my absolute favorite too! The gold shimmers look beautiful with the turquoise.

Crystal Tokyo (LE) is a sparkling rainbow iridescent glitter topper. I applied one coat of this nail polish over a pale baby pink. Absolutely loving this effect! I think it would look amazing over blue too.

What do you guys think of the new Cirque Colors Kawaii collection? And how about the new look of the brand? I know there has been quite a lot of chit-chat in the nail community about this. I got tons of messages after I posted a sneak peak on my Instagram story. Some people loved it, other not so much. I wasn’t sure what to think at first, but the more I look at the bottles and the new logo, the more I like the new design and the re-branding makes sense. I like the modern look and the clean and bold design of the boxes.

The products in this post were provided for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

  • Some gorgeous colors in this collection.

Pretty colors. I don’t like the new look – I have never liked that font. It’s just always been one of the fonts that annoy me (I am a retired graphic designer – fonts were a major part of my life). Also, no more scent? I normally don’t like scented things, usually too strong or nauseating but I really like that scent they used in their polish.

    • Yes, the scent is what I am missing the most too (surprisingly I do like the new packaging :)). I think everyone will eventually get used to the new look. What’s important is the still amazing formula!

  • Kolory piękne jednak 14$ to jest lekka przesada jak na lakier do paznokci :/ Przynajmniej jak dla mnie.

  • I really preferred the old packaging BUT I really like these polishes!

Hi Paulina, I was thinking, “What do these names have to do with the Hawaiian island of Kauai?” The shades certainly look tropical and ocean-like. So I had to Google “Kawaii” and to my surprise found that the word symbolizes “endearingly cute” in Japanese culture. Ha, ha! I learned something new today, and immediately saw the connection in the interpretation of “Kawaii” into nail polish. I must mention that the bottle shot does not do these colors justice at all — they looked ho-hum to me and I almost skipped over the post. But once I saw your lovely swatches, your lighting, and how these polishes pick up the light, I was entranced by all the Kawaii-ness! I wouldn’t normally spend $14 per bottle on nail polish — but these gorgeous ones are making me seriously reconsider that, at least for one or two of them!!

    • Hi Cat. I also had to check the meaning of Kawaii when Bundle Monster launched their collection. I think it’s really fun, although I am normally not into such things. Yes, some of these polishes are truly magical. I am curious which ones you picked up?

There are some truly stunning polishes in this collection … some of those flaky jellies are just yummy! I think the polishes work really well together as a collection as well. :)

    • Yes, I totally agree. This collection is well thought and put together :) Thank you.
