I was on the roll and made these colorful chevron nails inspired by another picture found on Pinterest. Oh, I do make a lot of chevron designs lately. I think I have a chevron bug!
This outfit caught my eye mainly because of the pattern and the colors! Although the colors on my nails are not exactly the same, I love this color combo!
If you are looking for inspiration, you can check my Nail Inspiration board. I pin there anything that could inspire me to do nail art.
The three colors, which I used for this design are: orange W7 (no.78 Sunstone). It’s a really pretty orange with a great formula. The purple one is also from W7 (no. 77 Neon Purple) and the blue color is NYC (no.320 Blue Sky). This is such a beautiful color, but it is the most bubbly nail polish that I own and it’s really hard to work with.
I decided to make this chevron free hand, because I wanted this design to look uneven and imperfect. It almost looks like a kid drawing, which I really like. To make these colorful chevron nails, I started with two coats of white nail polish. Then I took my thin nail art brush and started drawing zigzags. I started from the middle of the nail and drew zigzags down, then I filled in the top of the nail. Between each color, I left a tiny white space.
I hope you like my free hand chevron nails! Let me know what you think :)
