Hi my beautiful friends. Today’s post is a little bit different comparing with my previous content, but do not fear, because it does involve some beautiful nail art as well as some other goodies. Today’s nail art is inspired by one of the most treasured makeup items from my collection, Zoeva Cocoa Blend eye shadow palette.
I don’t know if I ever told you about my love for makeup. After nail art, doing makeup has to be my favorite thing. I love trying new products and transforming myself with different looks. Especially on those tough mornings when you are feeling rather shabby, nothing will make you feel better than a little bit of concealer. I like to think that makeup is a secret weapon of women.
Zoeva Cocoa Blend is an eye shadow palette inspired by a box of chocolates. From the Zoeva page: “Our ZOEVA Cocoa Blend Palette results out of a world of sweet sins. Inspired by warm truffle colors, delicate nougat shades and shimmery marzipan tones for a seductive glamour makeup.” Sounds tempting? Let’s take a look at some swatches first.
Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette consists of ten eye shadows in a standard size. There is a good mix of mattes, satins, metallics and even a duo chrome. The shadows come in a carton box, which is very light, but solid and sturdy. The package has a beautiful golden print on it and it looks super classy. The palette has a little magnet inside, so it closes well to protect the shadows.
The mix of colors and finishes has been well thought trough, because you can create pretty much any look with these shadows. The eye shadows are very high quality, very pigmented and soft. The colors apply easily and they blend beautifully. My favorite colors from this palettes are all the mattes, as well as the metallic gold and the beautiful cranberry color. I love creating warm eye shadow looks, I think they go well with my blue eyes. I seriously reach for this palette whenever I plan to apply makeup.
The nail art look that I created was inspired by the beautiful brown package with a golden print on it. As my base, I used OPI You Don’t Know Jacques! and I stamped with Essie Good As Gold (not a perfectly matching shade, but that’s OK). The stamping plate used for this nail art is from Pueen Cosmetics Geo Lover 01.
I realize that my stamping is far from perfect. I still have a long way to go with this technique, but I am very happy how these turned out.
I purchased my Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette on their website and it currently retails for €17.50, which in my opinion is a steal for such a high quality product. I also recommend trying their brushes!
What do you guys think of this nail art? And what about the post altogether? Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below, I am curious if you would like to see similar content on the blog in the future.
