Hi everyone. I am continuing with our Christmas/Holiday nail art tutorials. In today’s post I would like to share some cute holiday lights. Reverse stamping is one of my favorite techniques lately. You can be very creative with this technique and get amazing results. I’ve received an gorgeous nail mail from Whats Up Nails with some holiday stamping plates, powders and vinyls. In today’s reverse stamping nail art I used one of the plates. Thank you so much Lena for all the goodies!
Whats Up Nails B022 stamping plate is called Winter Time and it’s most adorable. It has Christmas lights, reindeer, gingerbread men and cute penguins. I applied two coats for KBShimmer Turning Pointe as my base. This nail polish is very sparkly and very holographic and I thought it would be perfect for the holiday lights.
I used the black Twinkled T Vibin’ for stamping and MoYou London 3 in 1 Clear Rectangular Stamper. I like using this stamper for reverse stamping designs, because when you take it apart, it sits quite low on the table and it’s easy to fill in the lines.
You can find the whole list of nail polishes in the description of my video. I used a good amount of bright colors and I love this look. I think these lights would look great in soft pastel colors. A little bit unconventional, but sometimes it’s worth to experiment.
If you have problems with transferring your colored design on the nail, I have a tip for you. The easiest thing is to use a foil glue. Just apply a layer of the glue over your base color and let it dry completely. Then you can stamp your design and everything will adhere beautifully and easily.
What do you guys think of my holiday lights reverse stamping? Do you like this technique? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
