Hi my beautiful friends. Today I am reviewing another beautiful collection by Il Était Un Vernis. Végétal Collection is a set of five holographic polishes in beautiful soft shades, full of shimmers, micro flakies and micro glitters. Il Était Un Vernis describes Végétal Collection as “an invitation to take a breath of fresh air, to contemplate the wonders of nature and enjoy the explosion of colors and scents that revived the gardens.” Sounds tempting? Let’s take a look at the swatches and I will tell you more about each shade.
All five colors are swatched over a ridge filling base and finished with a layer of top coat. The first two pictures show the colors in the sunlight, while the third one is a shot with my daylight lamp.
Hydrangea is a beautiful dusty blue holo filled with blue and pink shimmer. You will see the sparkles when you move your hand in the light and depending on the angle, pink or blue will appear. This color is such a perfect match to the hydrangea flowers. The color is not so obvious with a little twist in it, just like the flowers. I applied two easy coats with top coat.
Paeonia is a beautiful holographic coral full of pink and golden shimmer. This is such a beautiful color, but like the previous one, not very obvious. The shimmers make it really stand out and give a beautiful sheen to it. Again, two easy coats plus top coat.
Dahlia is a stunning dark blue holo with a lot of purple undertone to it. My camera did not capture the purple side of it, but believe me when I tell you, it’s there. This color might not be the first choice for Spring, but I think it’s actually my favorite from this collection. I love the deep blue and beautiful pink sparkles. I applied two coats plus top coat.
Ixia is a beautiful vibrant holographic turquoise with silver flecks. This one is a real Mr. Sparkle and my camera did freak out a little bit. The color is just stunning and very, very deep and it looks absolutely stunning on nails. Gorgeous formula and I applied two coats, but I think you could even get away with one (plus top coat).
Lunaria is a stunning holographic gold with a peachy undertone to it. It’s so beautiful and sparkly, but soft at the same time and I really love the soft peachy tone peaking through. I applied two coats plus top coat.
