Dotticure

Dotticure

Do you guys remember this? It was my first ever mani I have posted on this blog. It was about a year ago and today I decided to recreate this dotticure to show you (and myself!) the progress I have made during past year. While my first mani was not too bad, the shape of my nails and the photo had a lot of room for improvement. I can’t even believe that a year ago I had this weirdly shaped nails! Hahaha. Makes me want to laugh ;) I am so happy to see the progress I have made so far and hoping to improve even further.

I used the same base color as in my original dotticure, which is Catrice Dirty Berry. It’s a gorgeous, holographic, shimmery nail polish. I put two coats of that and it was enough for a good coverage. Then the dots are made with OPI Riotously Pink and Fluorescent Glow in the dark nail polish from the Born Pretty Store. Then I put a good layer of Seche Vite top coat and the mani was ready.

I did my best to capture the holographic effect, but because of lack of the sunshine today it was difficult. I used my daylight to take these photos, but I think the holo shows better in sunshine :)

What do you guys think of this dotticure? Let me know in the comments below :)
