Negative Space Flowers with Indigo Nail Polish

Hi everyone. How is everyone doing? Despite having the first snow day today in Prague, I still can’t bring myself to post any snowflake nail art, so I thought it was a good idea to cheer myself up a little with a cute floral design. This negative space flowers design is pretty quick and easy to make and it’s perfect for beginners. You will need a couple of nail polishes and a dotting tool to create these flowers. Take a look at my video tutorial and then read on for more product information.

Firstly, I applied a generous coat of Indigo Base coat to my nails. This base coat is one of my favorites and I mentioned it already lots of times. Once the base was dry I started dotting the flowers. I decided to go with soft pastel colors to make the design more delicate. I used Strawberry Milk, Ciao Bella and Daydreamer for the flowers. The flowers at the end of my nail ar larger and they get smaller towards the cuticles.

For the leaves I used Indigo Fly High and Silver Princess for the middles of the flowers. I think the silver touch ties the whole look together! I really do like the pastel colors I went with. Some people on my YouTube were complaining the colors were too pale and they ‘couldn’t see anything’. I do love using bold colors, but sometimes I like to go with something softer and more delicate. Saying that, I can see this design being awesome with some bright and contrasting colors.
