Hello my lovelies. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Do you remember the beautiful Mermaid Effect Neon collection by Indigo Nails? You can find a review HERE. A few days ago Indigo Nails released the new Pixel Effect Neon and you can find it HERE. This collection consists of 5 glitters in different colors. Watch my video below, in which I am showing you how to apply the Pixel Effect Neon, as well as the demonstration of all the colors.
Pixel Effect Neon comes in the same five colors as the Mermaid Effect Neon: Lila, Green, Yellow, Orange and Pink. You can apply this glitter onto a cured base color and rub it in for a smooth surface. Or you can sprinkle it onto uncured top coat to get a textured effect. I prefer the first method and the smooth version.
When I first got the Pixel Effect Neon I applied it over a white base. I noticed that the color wasn’t very vibrant over a white base and the glitter was a bit patchy. In my opinion these glitters look best when applied over a similar color (like in my video I applied Lila over the purple Blueberry).
As you can see in the pictures the only color that is iridescent is the purple one Lila (it’s also my favorite color from this collection). The rest of them are not iridescent glitters – just very pretty, sparkly glitters.
What do you think of the new Pixel Effect Neon? Which color is your favorite? My two favorite colors are definitely Lila and Pink. Overall, I do think these glitters are very pretty and super sparkly. However, the pixel effect is not my favorite effect. I prefer the Mermaid Effect powders over the pixel.
This post came into life with collaboration and sponsorship with Indigo Nails. This does not affect my opinions on the products shown. All opinions are my own.
