Hi my beautiful friends. Today I am back with some pretty geometric nails for a special nail polish challenge. Yesterday was the second edition of the piCture pOlish Nail Art Quarterly challenge and this time the theme was ‘geometric nails’. All the geometric creations were shared on Instagram yesterday, so today I am dedicating this post for all of you who are not on that platform.
I started my nail art with a beautiful neutral base full of scattered holo flecks and sparkles. It’s piCture pOlish Cherish and I applied two coats for a full opacity. It dried beautifully and flat on the nails.
After the base was dry, I put my good old striping tape into action. Striping tape was one of the nail art tools that was allowed to use during creating our nail art. On my middle and ring finger I placed the take in the pattern and when I was happy with the effect, I started sponging the gradient. I used the beautiful Tiffany and Bonkers. I think these two colors together work really well, despite the fact that at first you might think they are opposites.
On the rest of my fingers, I applied the striping tape in a chevron pattern and painted in between first with Tiffany and then with Bonkers. The polishes have an amazing opacity, so I had no problems working with them.
After everything was done, I used a good amount of top coat to smooth everything out and make it extra shiny.
What do you guys think of my piCture pOlish Nail Art Quarterly entry? Do you like this gradients and the colors?
