Hi everyone. I am popping here quickly to share my latest video tutorial with you. This time I am showing how to remove stubborn glitter nail polish. We all know the pain of trying to remove glitter from the nails. When it’s freshly applied, you can still kind of get rid of it, but when it’s a few days old, it just sticks to the nails.
I am sure most of you are aware of the foil method for glitter nail polish removal. This method works well and the chances are that you already have everything you need at home – tin foil, cotton pads and nail polish remover. I have been using this method myself for a long time and it’s been serving me well.
A while ago, I received an interesting product – silicone soakies from Mitty Burns. You can use these silicone nail caps to remove glitter nail polish or gel polish. I had a very positive experience using these soakies. They are much easier and quicker to apply and they also hold the cotton pad in place.
I think the only downside to these nail soakies is the price. The twin pack (which consists of 10 soakies) is priced at $25!!! To give you a perspective, I found similar soakies that costed around $3 for 10 pieces.
Here are some tips for you when removing glitter:
Tip 1 – Apply some cuticle oil before soaking off your glitter to protect and hydrate your cuticles.
Tip 2 – Use nail polish remover with acetone for a quick and easy removal.
If you are interested in purchasing the Mitty Burns Polish Off Soakies, please visit their website. They also carry some interesting nail powders, which might be worth looking at.
The products in this post were provided for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
