Spring nail art -tulips

My my lovelies. I am so excited about today’s post, as I finally got to sit down and create a Spring nail art for you. It’s been a while since I post a nail art here, so I am especially happy to share my newest creation. Spring in Germany is slowly arriving, we have more and more sunny days, so I was inspired to do some Spring nail art featuring my favorite flowers, tulips. Let’s take a look.

Spring nail art -tulips

I started off by creating a negative space background for my flowers. I used my regular striping tape to simply paint 2/3 of my nail light blue. I thought a light blue base would be contrasting beautifully with the flowers and leaves, so I used Cirque Colors Meet Me in Montauk. It’s a gorgeous color for Spring and it’s such a pigmented formula! I applied a layer of top coat on my negative space base before starting to paint the flowers.

I used a thin nail art brush to create the flowers. I painted the tulips in three color combinations. The red ones were made with Cameo Colours Lacquers Wednesday and Serendipity Nail Polish Big Red Bow. The pink ones were made with Serendipity Nail Polish Pink Poinsettia and Ella+Mila Heartbreaker. The orange tulip on my ring finger was made with Picture Polish Totes and Cirque Colors Fire Island. I love the orange tulip and how it gives a nice pop of color!

At the end I added some bright green flower stems and leaves. I used two colors, Cameo Colours Lacquers Thursday and Nicka K no. 145 for some shading.

What do you guys think? I have to say that I am very pleased how my Spring nail art came out! I am still wearing this design as I’m typing this post and I got so many compliments (even my boyfriend said these were nice and he is a tough critic). I really hope that you will like it as well.

Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and have a fabulous day!
