Hello my beautiful friends. Day 6 of the 31 day challenge and going strong. Today’s theme is violet nails and I made beautiful negative space flowers with cute bow rhinestones. This mani is inspired by the talented @lauramerino12 and HERE is the original version. Don’t forget to check Laura’s account. She is so, so talented and I get tons of inspiration from her beautiful nail art. Also, she’s got the most beautiful almond nails! I made a purple version of the original mani, but it’s pretty much the same design. Let’s take a look.
The main purple of this mani is China Glaze Lotus Begin and it’s one of the most beautiful purples ever! The flowers are made with this shade as well as it’s featured on my ring finger. Before I painted the flowers, I put a layer of protective ridge filler to smooth out the surface of my nail and even out the color (you know, I do have some staining). I feel like you can’t skip the base coat when you are doing a negative space nail art. Then I filled the flower middles with China Glaze That’s Shore Bright and at the end made some tiny dots with KIKO no. 291. At the end, I added a few green leaves using China Glaze Be More Pacific and covered everything with a top coat.
There’s something mesmerizing about negative space manis! I just love how they are contrasting with your natural nude nail color, just beautiful.
I put some cute bow rhinestones on my ring finger (instead of studs, like Laura did). I thought they would be a cute and girly addition to this mani. The rhinestones come from the Born Pretty Store and you can find them HERE. They are very tiny and look incredibly cute over that pretty violet base. The wheel comes with around 250 pieces and it costs $3.23. They are so shiny (take a look at the picture below) and perfect for blinging up any mani.
You can use my coupon code WRL91 to get 10% discount on your entire order at Born Pretty Store. They ship internationally for free!
Here is a little macro shot of my pretty violet nails, so you can see the rhinestones from up close. They look gorgeous in natural sunshine and change colors depending on the angle you are looking at them.
One final look at the whole mani (oh, this is such a picture spammy post!)
What do you guys think of my violet nails for today’s challenge? Are you loving negative space manis as much as I do? I am feeling like making another one right now, haha!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Lots of hugs, Paulina.
