Hello my beautiful friends. I hope you are all well and that you are enjoying the summer. We have been very lucky with the weather and the sun is shining all the time, which makes me very happy. I think I got inspired by all the sunshine and summer colors, because it’s time for some seriously bright tropical flower nails today!

Aren’t they just so bright? I love the colors and I love how they are contrasting over the grey background. The sparkly grey nail polish that I used for this mani is OPI I Don’t Give a Rotterdam! Haha, this name makes me giggle! Especially because, last time I was in Rotterdam it was grey and cloudy. Anyways, this polish is just so gorgeous! I love the shimmer in it and how sparkly it was in the sun. The formula is not very opaque, so I had to apply 3 coats.

All the flowers were done with my all forgotten neon acrylic paints! You know how it is when you move and you leave some unpacked boxes for later and then one day you actually get to unpack them and find all the “treasures”. Well, these acrylic were a treasure lol…. and a pain at the same time. I haven’t worked with acrylic paints for a while (except some small black details in a few designs) and I just didn’t enjoy it. I love how the flowers came out, but it took me 3 hours and endless layers of acrylic paint. The paint just wasn’t opaque enough and I had to go over the same spot several times. I even used a white base, because putting any color and that didn’t help either. Maybe I just gotta buy some different acrylics?

Anyways, what do you think of these tropical flower nails? I really love the colors and how bright they came put. Too bad painting these flowers wasn’t so easy, but I guess the end result was worth it :)Maybe you have some recommendations on acrylic paints brands? What do you use? Please share.

Stay tuned for more flower nails and have a lovely night!
